Serving as Owner’s Representative for Washington Mutual Bank (WAMU), our team provided comprehensive facilities management and project oversight services across multiple regions of the United States, including the Mid-Atlantic, Northeast, Southeast, and New England. Responsibilities included site selection, programming and feasibility studies, space planning, corporate stacking analyses, construction bid review, construction management, move coordination, and ongoing facilities management support. These efforts helped ensure operational efficiency while aligning each project with the bank’s strategic real estate and business objectives.
A key component of this work involved supporting Washington Mutual’s Emerging Markets Home Loan Centers, including the Magic Johnson Division, which focused on expanding homeownership opportunities for underserved and lower-income communities through first-time mortgage and refinancing programs. By combining expertise in architecture, engineering, interior design, real estate procurement, and construction management, the project demonstrated the value of integrated owner’s representation services in guiding complex corporate facilities and development initiatives from planning through implementation.
