Feasibility study for a mixed-use residential and commercial development in Far Rockaway.
Overview
Bayview–Inwood was conceived as a mixed-use residential and commercial development designed to support the continued growth and revitalization of the Inwood community in Far Rockaway, New York. Developed as a preliminary design and feasibility study, the project explored the viability of a modern mixed-use building that would combine residential living, commercial opportunities, and dedicated parking accommodations within a strategically planned urban environment.
The proposed development featured traditional non-combustible construction and incorporated both on-site and adjacent parking facilities to effectively serve residential occupants. Prepared as part of a funding and development initiative, the feasibility study included conceptual planning and design strategies that helped demonstrate the project’s potential and attract investment support. The vision ultimately contributed to the advancement of a subsequent development scheme, reinforcing the project’s role in promoting sustainable community growth, economic development, and neighborhood revitalization within the Inwood area.
